We’re currently hiring for the following role in our Sydney CBD office.
Senior Accountant – Sydney (in office)
Key Requirements
CA or CPA qualified.
5–7 years of experience in a public practice accounting firm.
Strong experience in Australian tax compliance, tax return preparation and financial accounts preparation.
Experience managing family groups and related entities.
Ability to manage client work independently, from gathering information through to completion.
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Tax & Compliance
Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
Process payroll.
Manage tax compliance for family groups and related entities.
Identify tax planning opportunities.
Research tax issues and apply relevant legislation.
Financial Accounts & Reporting
Prepare annual financial statements and special-purpose financial reports for companies, trusts, partnerships and other business entities.
Complete year-end reconciliations and supporting workpapers.
Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
